McThriftnet is our robust online banking service that allows 24 hour access to your account information from anywhere in the world. The following information highlights some of the features of our service. We know you will be pleased with how much you can do online with the highest level of security. Plus, should you have questions about our service, help is always just one quick click, e-mail or phone call away.
With McThriftnet, you have immediate access to a wide range of banking services including daily account balances, transaction history and ability to transfer funds to name a few.
Some of the services you’ll have access to are listed below:
- More detailed balance and transaction information including a full activity log
- Check and statement reprint requests
- Account alerts that monitor and notify you when balances go above or below certain amounts
- Online forms
- Ability to pre-schedule one-time or repeating funds transfers, loan payments
- View images of checks and deposits
- Account histories of Loans CD's and Lines of Credit
- View pending items before they post to your account
Logging On for the first time.
In order to get started with Online Banking, first access the bank’s Web site at www.thscottishbank.com. You may want to bookmark this page for faster access in the future. Once you’re on the bank’s home page, click ‘Internet Banking’ Online Services and you will be taken to the Internet Banking home page. Click on McThriftnet and you will see the new login page. From there you will enter your unique, secure User ID and Password.
For returning users, simply click on the McThifnet Logo on the top right of the bank's home page to login again.
For security purposes, you’ll be asked to reset your password during the first login. Your password is the key to your accounts. Be sure to guard it carefully, and do not give it to anyone. Once you login, you’ll have immediate access to your account information. Accounts are listed by type, e.g., deposit, loan, etc. Account numbers are partially masked for security purposes. You may also give each of your accounts a name or “alias” that make the account easier for you to recognize.

You can access Help from any page in McThriftnet. The online Help gives you step-by-step directions for each online feature. In addition, several special topics like security, page navigation, and passwords are available.

FAQs
What can I do on McThriftnet?
Check account balances and activity. Transfer money between accounts. Send important information to the bank securely. Place stop payments. Order checks and review check and deposit images. Download transactions into Microsoft Money, Excel and Quicken.
How long does the process take?
You will be notified by e-mail of the acceptance of your application within 48 hours. In this acceptance e-mail, you will receive your user name. Within the next business day, you will receive, by e-mail, your temporary password.
How do I add another account after I have signed up?
To add a new account, send a secure message by clicking on the “Envelope Icon." State the account type and account number that you wish to add. We will then add the new account.
How long does it take for stop payments to take effect?
We retrieve these requests daily at the close of the business day. Stop payments received after the close of business will be placed on the following business day.
How should I contact the bank on confidential information?
Use the secure messaging built in McThriftNet. You should click on the “Envelope Icon" and complete the form. Click on “Send” after you complete the message. You should receive a response within 24-48 hours.
Who do I call if something goes wrong?

What happens if I can’t remember my password?
Contact Web Support to have your password reset .
What do I need to access McThriftNet?
You will need an email account, an Internet connection, and a web browser i.e. Internet Explorer 5.0 through 6.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Netscape 6.1 through 7.1. Caution: Apple Computers do not work with all aspects of our Internet Product. Windows based PC's work best with our product.
Are there any charges involved with the McThriftNet service?
There are no fees for using Internet Banking. Please refer to your Account Disclosure for any fees that may apply on your account for transactions conducted over the Internet.
How do I sign up for McBillpay, bill payment?
When you sign up for McThriftnet, you will be prompted to add bill payment to your Internet Banking account. Should you want to sign up for McBillpay after you have signed up for Internet Banking, simply click on the Bill Payment menu item within McThriftnet. Once you accept our Bill Pay Agreement, you are ready to begin paying bills! For McBillPay support please call 800-400-3084 and choose option 2.
McBillpay Information Page
McBillpay allows you to pay bills from any internet enabled PC from anywhere in the world. Forget about stuffing envelopes, searching for stamps and writing checks. Pay your monthly bills safely, easily and quickly. Your McBillpay payments are made either electronically or by check. Simply schedule your payments three days before the due date on electronic payments or five days before on check payments. It’s that simple.
You can even pay your recurring bills automatically by setting up a “Scheduled Payment.” Each month, your car payment or mortgage, for example, will be sent timely and with no action required by you. The McBillpay system makes the payment on time every time.
